God of War tells a tale of a broken man, with a long, painful history, trying to figure out how to once again be a father. And this Simpsons. Installing mods for the God of War PC version can be a fun way to enhance any player's experience with shaders, new looks for Kratos.\n\n\n⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️\n\n\n💾 ►►► DOWNLOAD FILE 🔥🔥🔥\n\n\nThe Adventures of Kratos and Boy is epic, but is it fun? The father-and-son dysfunction and Kratos allergy to smiling might make things a little too serious or gloomy. Luckily PC gamers know how to lighten things up or make Norse-flavored deicide more inviting thanks to mods. God of War is a four-year-old game, after all. Its story has been told already and the game's gonna start showing its age soon. At the time of writing, God of War 's mod collection is climbing up fast, and it's only a matter of time before newer and wackier mods start appearing. These great God of War mods range from useful gameplay or visual upgrades to inside jokes and questionable character cosmetic changes. Some of them might even be enough to make Kratos chuckle, much to Boy's delight. It's hard to avoid watching story summaries, spoilers, or gameplay videos from God of War over the course of four years. It's a little too late for PC players to enjoy all the surprises and twists so some might end up rushing the game instead to get to the good gameplay bits, like in NG Plus. There's no need for that once God of War players have already seen all the game has to offer on the consoles or streams. It's barely a mod but when one thinks about it, mods that give out all the items do almost the same thing anyway. It's still odd seeing Kratos with a shield and a defensive fighting style after his heydays in Greece being a relentless attacker he did have a shield and spear weapon in the PSP games though. That's probably why some players prefer a Kratos that has no shield or magical apparatus on his arm that blossoms out into a circular aegis. The Invisible Shield mod serves this purpose by deleting Kratos' shield model or the shield armband he wears. He can still use it, of course, and it will just magically disappear. This is especially more aesthetically pleasing once Kratos gets his good old Blades of Chaos as players will be able to appreciate those angsty chains much better. In addition to the shield, some Kratos die-hard fans might also prefer Kratos with his older getup which is practically just loincloth and greaves along with some arm bracers. It's colder in Midgard, so that explains the pants and the extensive shoulder armor. This mod makes him topless , exposing those intimidating Spartan pectorals as well as the majority of his Spartan tattoo. It can get confusing keeping track of what armor he's wearing but at least he's more photogenic now. There are times in God of War where some atmospheric effects look overdone, especially in Alfheim where the fog illuminates the place too much of obscures some of the scenery. For many, this can be an annoying effect and those with poor eyesight could use less or less dense fog. Less Fog and No Fog are here to the rescue. It's a pretty straightforward mod that either reduces the in-game fog or erases it completely , depending on player preference. One caveat with using this mod is that HDR won't work anymore, which means less vivid or accurate colors. While God of War is a well-optimized console port that runs well even on five-year-old hardware, players can actually squeeze out a few more frames of performance from the game. On Nvidia cards, the difference might be negligible but for those that use AMD cards, some users report around 10 FPS increase on average which is significant. God of War' s graphics are still beautiful even four years after its release thanks to the upgraded PC visuals. It does employ some polarizing graphical technologies, however, such as TAA or Temporal Antialiasing. While that one reduces the screen jaggies well, it also blurs everything. Additionally, it also removes Depth of Field which simulates how the eyes focus on objects. Each function has a separate toggle that players can turn on or off with ease. Speaking of God of War 's visuals, there are graphics enthusiasts out there that probably find the game's visuals a little too aged already. It certainly doesn't compare well with what has on offer, especially the upcoming eye bleeders this year. GOW Regrade focuses on enhancing the colors, shadows, and tone mapping sharpness. It's not as heavy or as excessive as other ReShade presets, just enough to enhance the game's graphics— sometimes in a subtle manner. If there's one mod that might be necessary for a less frustrating and smoother God of War experience, it's probably this one. The difference is around a few seconds and lets players go straight into the menu after clicking the God of War icon on the PC. It's not like PC players don't know which platform funded and made the game possible anyway. There is a skip button for it but even so, the system loading that video can cause a longer startup. Ever miss the old Kratos who shaved his beard so that his enemies can't pull on it? That's how it was back in the classical Greek era and it has some practical reasons. Even in God of War 4 , that beard can easily betray Kratos if an enemy grabs on to it. So make him more combat-ready by having him shave it off while retaining a bit of manliness through a Tom Selleck caterpillar 'stache. It does remove his eyebrows too but that's alright, just pretend that guy has too much testosterone that even his eyebrows weren't spared from male pattern baldness.\n<a
