I have had a little time to play with it and I figure I can get a little better at taking pictures. In a few days or so I am going to be getting a H550 that I will be using for around 3 weeks. I have been looking for a nice cheap camera that is decent for when I am on vacation, and I settled on the Hsx.\n\nI have been looking at buying a cheap Pentax, the Hsx are just awesome though. I have not settled on any specific model, the H550 really looks like a solid camera (read: I am not too disappointed when I break or lose one). I am not too worried about weight and features, I will be using it for capturing snaps of pictures (nothing too serious). I have a few questions:\n\n1. How good is the Hsx for taking photos of my kids? They will be together all day and I am not sure how well it will capture their faces on a regular basis. I will also be teaching them about photography, is there something I should be concerned about if I decide to put my trust into the Hsx?\n\n2. I understand the Hsx has a certain amount of \"grain\" in the photo, what exactly is this and how will I handle it?\n\n3.
