These APIs allow 3rd party applications to do almost everything in EPR. You can upload/download documents for plan review and get/set project and assignment data.\n\nvendor_id  \nThe vendor_id is an important API concept which is used as a reference or linking identifier to 3rd party applications. For example, a project ID in EPR may be \"P123\" but links to a 3rd party application's project ID of \"PROJ-102171\", the vendor_id serves as a foreign key.\n\nAt a High Level  \nElectronic plan review as a process is fairly straightforward\n\nA project is created for plan review.  \nDocuments are uploaded for the project.  \nPlan review assignments are created for the document.  \nUsing the EPR Review page, users apply markups and enter comments  \nAssignments are completed and the reviewed document is returned to the customer for corrections.  \nCorrected documents are uploaded to the project, properly versioned and then undergo another round of reviews.  \nThe process repeats until the comments are resolved, assignments are completed. At some point, the project is closed.\n\nConfiguring EPR for the Client  \nThis described workflow services permitting agencies as well as the construction, property management and insurance industry, with little variation.\n\nWhat is different:\n\nThe reason or purpose for the projects.  \nThe terminology for the list values.  \nProject Purposes  \nWith this model in mind, every project is associated to a purpose. Clients can choose to configure EPR projects for one or both purposes, as desired. Functionality is the same, in either case.  \nThe table below describes the purposes pre-configured in EPR:\n\nPurpose Description  \nFor Permitting Plan review is required to obtain a permit from a non-exempt governing agency (city, county, state, federal).  \nFor Design Review Plan review is necessary for non-permitting, exempt reasons such as QA/QC, peer review, P3 projects, etc.  \nGetting Started  \nWorking with the APIs  \nEPR API uses standard RESTFul protocols to send client requests and receive response data in JSON format. Developers can access EPR API for testing using Swagger.IO, Postman, cURL, httpie, or other REST clients.\n\nAPI Token  \nEvery call to the API requires an API token to be pass in either in the header as x-access-key or via URL parameter as ?token=token_id. First, start by getting a token from Authentication > /login. To use the token for subsequent requests, use the authorize button below and past the token into the value field.
