Buy credits on [e-signature.eu](https://www.e-signature.eu): your account is created automatically with your first purchase.\n    \n2. Get your **User ID** and **API token** in **My account > Signatures API**.\n    \n3. In this collection, fill the variables `userid` and `api_key`, then run **Credit balance** to check your access.\n    \n\n## Authentication\n\nEvery call requires:\n\n- `userid` as a URL parameter: your User ID\n    \n- `x-api-key` header: your API token\n    \n\nCalls must be made from your server, never from a browser or a mobile app. A new token can be generated at any time in My account > Signatures API; the previous one stops working immediately.\n\n## Responses\n\nAll responses are JSON:\n\n``` json\n{ \"success\": true,  \"result\": { ... } }\n{ \"success\": false, \"error\": \"Readable error message\" }\n\n ```\n\nRely on the HTTP status code in your code; the message helps you correct the request.\n\n## Callbacks (webhooks)\n\nDo not poll `getRequest`. Define a callback URL in My account > Signatures API, or per request with `callback_url`. At each change, you receive the full state of the request with `event`, `event_id`, `event_at` and `changes`, signed with HMAC-SHA256 in the `X-Esig-Signature` header. Failed deliveries are retried every hour, up to 24 attempts, with the same `event_id`.\n\n## Your own references\n\nAttach `external_reference` (up to 255 characters) and `metadata` (JSON object, up to 4 KB) to each request. They are returned in every response and callback, and `list` can be filtered by `external_reference`.\n\n## Credits\n\nRequests are paid with your prepaid e-signature.eu credits, shared between signatures and registered mail. Your balance is returned by `requestBalance` and in every request object (`credits_balance`). Automatic credit recharge can be set up in My account > Signatures API.\n\n## Limits\n\n- 10 requests per minute per account and IP address (HTTP 403 beyond)\n    \n- One PDF per request, 30 MB maximum, not encrypted\n    \n- Signed documents can be downloaded for 30 days after completion\n    \n\n## API v2 (signatures only)\n\nThe signatures API v2 (`https://api.e-signature.eu/v2/signature/`) remains available and unchanged. Endpoints, parameters and authentication are identical: to move to v3, replace `/v2/` with `/v3/` in the base URL. See the Changelog of the online documentation for the differences. The registered mail API exists only in
