In this collection, open the **Variables** tab and fill in:\n    - `url` – the address of your Douano environment, without a trailing slash\n        \n    - `client` – the client ID of the integration\n        \n    - `secret` – the client secret\n        \n3. Open the collection's **Authorization** tab and click **Get New Access Token**. Log in and approve.\n    \n4. Try _Core – Reference data > List countries_.\n    \n\nSee the **Authentication** folder for the OAuth 2.0 flow in your own application.\n\n# Conventions\n\n### Requests\n\n- Send and accept JSON: `Content-Type: application/json` and `Accept: application/json`.\n    \n- Related records are referenced by ID as an object: `\"company\": {\"id\": 4}`.\n    \n- Dates are `YYYY-MM-DD`, date-times `YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss`, in the Europe/Brussels time zone.\n    \n- Percentages are fractions unless stated otherwise: `0.1` = 10%.\n    \n- Create is `POST /resource`, update is `POST /resource/{id}`.\n    \n\n### Permissions\n\nEach request lists the permission it needs. The API acts as the user who approved the integration, so that user's user group needs the permission.\n\n### Pagination\n\nAll list endpoints are paginated with 50 results per page by default. After that, store the moment of your last sync and ask only for what changed with `filter_by_updated_since` (and `filter_by_created_since`). Even better: use **webhooks** to be notified of changes.\n\n### Updating and entity versions\n\nEvery record has an `entity_version`. When you update a record, send the `entity_version` you last received. If someone changed the record in the meantime, the update is rejected, so changes are never overwritten by accident. Fetch the record again and retry.\n\n### Custom fields (extension values)\n\nCustom fields are returned in `extension_values` and can be set by extension `name` or `id`:\n\n```
