Like I mentioned earlier, the Movie database API is not just limited to movies only. It houses movies, tv shows, and other kinds of films. It also provides data for actors, directors, and other key players in shooting films.\n2. It also provides access to translations. You can get translations for a film made in a different language. It also provides support for languages which you could indicate when making a request in a query parameter. For example, `language=en-US` would return your query in American English.\n3. The API provides a secure means of authentication which happens automatically as you register.\n4. You could get access to other details in the API as well. This includes film providers, ratings, trending and how to implement search using the API.\n \n\n### An Example Use case of The TMDB API\n\nAn example application that would require using the TMDB API is the movie streaming app. This app would stream movies by making queries to the database and display the latest movies and also get the `now-playing` endpoint to display the movie on the streaming app.\n\n## How To Use The API\n\nIn order to use the API, you would need to register and get an API key and access token. So, register at the [TMDB website](https://www.themoviedb.org/documentation/api) to get your API key.\n\nThe next step is to authenticate on Postman, so you are authorized to make requests on Postman.\n\n- Copy the access token on your profile and open Postman.\n \n\n\n\n- Open the authorization tab.\n \n\n\n\n- Scroll down to Bearer Token and insert the token there.\n \n\n\n\n## Rate Limiting\n\nLegacy rate limits have been disabled. Currently rate limits are set at 50 requests per second range. This is to help control unnecessary high bulk scraping.
