The create call and Get Transaction Status return the same envelope.
\nBase business decisions on Status + Completed. Use ResponseCode and ProcessorResponseCode for reporting and troubleshooting.
Duplicate protection: save RequestId before doing anything else. It is your handle for recovering a transaction, and you should never resend a create request automatically.
Polling: poll every 2 seconds for the first 10 seconds, then every 5 seconds with jitter, up to an overall deadline that suits your checkout (for example 3 minutes for card-present). Stop as soon as Completed=true.
Put credentials and environment-specific values in a Postman environment; its values take precedence over collection defaults. Each variable's description is on the collection's Variables tab.
\nSubTotal, Tax and GrandTotal from the amount inputs and writes them in local scope, so the calculated totals are always what gets sent. The totals are logged to the Postman console.RequestId, ErrorId and the Original* values from each response, and check the response contract.Completed=false response.The Original* variables always hold the most recent response, declines included, so run each follow-up straight after the transaction it refers to.
Before a card-present request can succeed, the terminal identified by identification must be enrolled with EVUAPI by Charge Anywhere, powered on, connected to the internet, and running the Charge Anywhere payment applications. If a CP request stays at Pending or SentToTerminal, check the terminal's power and connectivity first.

EVUAPI builds ResponseCode from the terminal's approval_code and response_message (case-insensitive, trimmed). ProcessorResponseCode keeps the raw approval_code, and ResponseText keeps response_message.

Card-present transactions finish asynchronously on the terminal, so the create call often returns before a result exists (Completed=false). Use this endpoint with the RequestId from the create response to follow the transaction until it reaches a final status. For CNP, the create response is normally final already. Use this endpoint only to recover a result you lost.
EVUAPI checks that the transaction belongs to this merchant/terminal identity. The values must match the ones used when the transaction was created.
