Now that you have installed your icon to the root of your hard drive, you can replace the icon used for the Pi Program icon. You can find the default icon in the program directory. You will need to use the following command to replace the icon.

sudo cp /usr/share/applications/pi-program.desktop /usr/share/applications/

In the root directory of your hard drive, you will need to replace the icon used for the Pi Program icon. In this instance, I will use an Ice Cream Sandwich icon. You will need to replace the icon used for the Pi Program icon.

Open the program directory.

cd /usr/share/applications/

Now, you need to use the following command to replace the default icon for the Pi Program icon.

sudo cp pi-program.svg pi-program-ice-cream-sandwich.svg

For those who have been following the tutorials in my tutorials series, you will know that the Pi Program icon will not automatically replace with a newly created icon. You need to do that yourself.

To replace the icon used for the Pi Program icon, open the icon used in the program directory for editing. You will need to replace the icon used for the Pi Program icon.

sudo cp pi-program.svg pi-program-ice-cream-sandwich.svg

Now that you have replaced the icon for the Pi Program icon, you can test and see that it works.
