If I run the Windows version of the software, it appears to be running fine. Is there any trick to get the PC version to run, or am I hitting some sort of \"bug\"?
\n
As you are aware, this Lynx D432 is a USB device, but is there any way to \"force\" it to install when the scanner is a \"USB stick\"?\nI did not see that option offered in the user manual.\nI did not see any way to \"force\" the scanner to USB mode, but that may simply be due to the fact that the Wizard does not do anything.\nAs you and I have discussed, the version of Datalogic PC software you refer to is not compatible with your Scanner.\nYou may wish to contact Datalogic to resolve this issue.Q:
\n
Is it possible to read metadata field from a sound file?
\n
Can I read information about a sound file (eg its file extension) using the Apple's CoreAudio (Kernel) Library?
\n
A:
\n
You can't. That information is not stored in the file on disk. That information is only stored in Apple's sound library. From the Mac OS X HIG, \"Resource Programming Guide\":
\n
An application should use the CGTraceSystemInfo and CGTraceAudioFramework APIs to obtain the system-wide metadata (including\n digital classifications) for any sound file.
\n
You can go beyond the metadata and directly obtain the raw PCM data, by reading the information contained in the waveform, using Apple's Audio Toolbox framework.
