We also show that H2A.Z K93 is a substrate for lysine deacetylases HDAC1 and HDAC2 and that H2A.Z Lys93 is not deacetylated by HDAC1 and HDAC2. Furthermore, we show that subcellular redistribution of H2A.Z can be abolished by blocking H2A.Z K93 acetylation at Lys93.
