\nI am totally new to python and programming. I am just playing around with a couple of python scripts for trying to learn and do stuff. However, now I am really stuck. I tried googling but I did not find anything about this issue.\nWhen I run a script like the following:\nimport a\nprint a
\nI expected that I would be able to call the module \"a\". But I got the following error:\nNameError: name 'a' is not defined
\nThen I checked whether \"a\" was a global module in my script by trying to print it in the first print line of the script. I also tried the following lines:\nimport main\nprint main\nprint main.a
\nIn my script I found a definition for \"a\", but when I call \"a\" I get another error. So I checked the same (...) line in the first print line of my script in all 3 cases (i.e. the last 2 lines). No matter what I did, \"a\" was just not defined. I even tried to use code block to define \"a\". The problem remained the same.\nSo what I am trying to figure out is, where does python look for the modules? I must be missing something really simple but it is totally unclear for me now.
