\nAn exhibition of the result of our collaborative work with founders and artists Elke Heidenreich, Björn Wagner and Oskar Engdahl since January 2012. Titled CASSEL nr. 1. We are here – and now begin the real work (in German).
\nThe 3 founders have committed to this project with its real concept. All the steps of production of 100 mattresses with a total weight of 5 tons.
\nThe production was organized on a sole site at the Sandbostel factory in the Ruhr area.
\nPart of this work is the presentation of the production system in the interior of Sandbostel factory under the motto of PROCESS, PERFORMANCE, PRODUCT.
\nThe exhibition is focused on the outcome of the production process. The mattress will be presented in its entirety and shows the production process in its full dynamic.
\nThe sheets have not been made in this project. The frame of the mattress is made of genuine Teak wood.
\nEach mattress has been hand-signed by the founders and signed by KÄGER, namely Elke Heidenreich, Björn Wagner and Oskar Engdahl.
\nPublic: You can find the standard mattresses in the official shop. The production will start in November 2015.
\nThe individual sheets will be sold separately in autumn.
\nThe exhibition will be on display in Sandbostel factory for the entire duration of the project in February/March 2016.
