\nI have an ActiveMQ broker using default configuration. I have set the passive request timeout value to 60.\nNow, let's say the initial message comes into the queue, with publish time in the future.\nNow, after 60 minutes it is expiring, and it doesn't go into dead-letter-queue, but is still stuck in the queue. As my broker is configured with the passive request timeout set to 60, I can't get the message from the queue.\nMy question is, how can I get the expired message from the queue using the ActiveMQ client?\nMy client is using the java AMQ client.\nThanks!

\nThe default passive request timeout for messages in a queue is 10 seconds. (The default passive request timeout for topics is 60 seconds.)\nIf the message was deleted or timed out while in the queue, it was automatically redirected to the DLQ.\nYou could change this timeout but I would recommend waiting until the messages have been removed from the queue. You would use the ActiveMQ.DLQ.getMessageCount() method to find out how many messages are sitting there. You would then need to check if the message has expired, and if not, retrieve it.
