The API allows customers to securely integrate directly with our services providng full access and control of their data. Customers start their project in the Test environment, complete development, certification, before moving to the Prod system.
\nMost requests are sent using HTTP GET, with parameters sent in as a query string. This makes it easy to accomplish simple integration tasks, avoiding the need to create and format JSON POST requests in many cases.
\nNote: The Asset ID is sent without the ampersand so for example, '2B3CD4E5' and not '2B3C-D4E5'.
\nWe recommend proceeding in the following sequence as you gain familiarity.
\nSign In - provides authentication token
\nGet Asset - gets the data for a single asset based on the Asset ID
\nGet Assets - gets all the assets matching the provided search text (blank returns all)
\nCheck In / Out Asset - checks in our out the specific asset
\nUpdate Asset - updates an assets information
\nAuthentication is via user name and password. The authentication returns an auth token which is then used with subsequent requests.
\nIn most cases, successful requests return a 200 code and 'Success' message. Error information is sent based on the request and issue.
\nWe apply a rate limit to requests to protect the integrity of the system for all customers.
